Becoming a Servant of HOME!

Rod Shimabukuro

"Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city. A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered. Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue." (Proverbs 16:32, 27-28)
I've felt the lava of anger flowing beneath the surface of my life. It doesn't seem to take much for the eruption to occur.

I love warriors! Fighters! ...People of tenacity who don't give up or in when the going gets tough in life. People whose attitudes soar at the sound of troubling circumstances.

Oh - how I long to be that man. A man of patience who isn't shaken by pressure, an obstinate challenge or the pride and faults of others.
My heart is corrected - convicted of impatience. If I am to grow in to His image with my behavior at home - I must be a servant of patience. A servant whose entrée is love, patience, the face of any "challenging" situations with "challenging" personalities!

How do I restrain words? Simply keep my mouth shut when I'm ticked off. I gotta remove myself from situations of conflict quicker.

I must take the first escape route God gives me in thought during times of conflict. The Spirit of God in me, speaks to my heart - gives me impressions of what to say and do during these times. It's my pride that gets the best of me wanting to take the city!!! Take the argument to a win!

I must back down - to defeat pride!
God...I am willing to yield. I surrender my pride, desire to win a fight and stinkin' attitudes of anger! Thank you for Your supernatural power, strength and intervention to make me a servant of patience. May I yield to Your Spirit to bear the fruit of patience through my words, actions and face!
