They're Watching Us

Tim Savage

"Then he said to the crowd, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed?" (Luke 9:23-25)
From time to time I have the opportunity to go back and work with my old friends and co-workers on a television commercial or other project and it's always an interesting experience because it reminds me first-hand that the work we do at New Hope is vitally important.

It helps for me to see the faces of the people that need Jesus in their lives, it helps me to be confronted, even in a nice, friendly ways, about ideas and lifestyles that I believe in, but others question. Questions are good, they show that people are interested, they're wondering, they're observing. We are to be examples to the world about how followers of Christ behave, respond and live.
My wife Mardi told me about several people that talked about our TV programs. People ARE tuning in, they're watching and they're interested. Of course, it takes time to be fully moved and convinced, but these are the seeds that are sown and have the potential to sprout and grow.

I am even more committed to my ministry here at New Hope, but I treasure these times when I can go spend time with these precious people. They are so good at what they do, they have all of the knowledge and equipment and we have so much to learn from them in order to continue to reach the world with our message presented in relevant and creative ways.
Dear Lord,
I ask for your hand of love and protection on our unsaved (or not-yet-saved) friends and co-workers. I know that You love them and want them to come to You. Please grant us influence in their lives, and help us to represent You well.

Thank You for the amazing opportunities You give me. I love honor and worship You.

In Jesus name,
