I Will Obey!

Rod Shimabukuro

"Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, "We will do everything the LORD has said; we will obey." (Exodus 24:7)
The commandments were in the hands of Moses who was instructed to give them God's people.
Leadership requires a strength to obey God, resisting the temptation to please or offend others, when a message must be spoken. When direction is needed for straying people, misguided convictions or attitudes, a leader must step in to represent the truth of God's commandments.
As a leader, I was faced with a situation where I needed to speak truth into someone's life - at the expense of possibly hurting their feelings if they took things the wrong way. I always hope that people would respond with great, willing, humble hearts. But the reality is that we, the people, don not like to be told what to do, how to do it and TO DO IT!
  1. Today, I want my hearts response to God to always be - yes Lord, I will do everything you ask of me - I will obey. And my wife would say a hearty...AMEN...Help that man!!!!
  2. Today I choose to be a man, husband, father of obedience. To respond in obedience to have more patience ( daily battle at home!).
  3. Today I choose to respond to His Word - "I Will Obey! I will Do it!"
Yes Daddie Father! I choose You, Your ways, Your instructions and commands. I will obey You because I know obedience with joy, makes You happy! I worship You, through my patient Home!!!!
