Being God's Standout

Rod Shimabukuro

"But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. 9 This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God." (Genesis 3:8)
What was it about Noah that turned God's eyes and heart towards him? God's grieved, saddened and tore up by the fact that His very own creation had turned their hearts and lives away from devotion and obedience to Him. But here's Noah, the standout in a world of evil.

What would make God turn His eyes and heart toward me? Do I standout?
I want to stick out like a sore thumb to God. I want to stand out. Yet does my life, convictions, display of attitudes, thoughts turn God's head to favor me? Does He do a double take because I stick out in the crowd?

Today, I want to stick out to my God! It will take living a life of integrity - from my heart, motives, thoughts...this is where my battle is. Walking with God in a way that makes me standout would be keeping my heart, thoughts and attitudes clear and pure from worldly-sin natured thinking.

I also want to be the best husband and father in the world. I can live differently in this area by paying closer attention to each of their hearts, emotions, lives.
Thanks so much Dad, for favoring me this morning to hear Your voice and sense Your pleasure. Help me to live holy and blameless around my family and others. I want to walk with You every step of this day!
