Can't Hide Anything From God!!!

October 8 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs. Luke 12:2-3
Jesus is warning the disciples and the people about the religious leaders, as they were gossiping and plotting against Jesus. The religious leaders were mad at Jesus because He exposed their lies and hypocrasy. So they were spreading false rumors about Jesus, trying to get people mad at Jesus. And they were plotting to have Jesus killed. But Jesus said that all their plotting and gossiping were all going to come out into the light and be seen by everyone. What the religious leaders failed to recognize is that Jesus was not exposing them, but they were exposing themselves by their words and actions, and their pride blinded them to this. The religious leaders allowed their stubbornness and anger control them to a point where, they could not see their own errors. Jesus wanted them to see the truth and to walk in it. The religious leaders is going to learn that they cannot hide anything from God, and he will bring everything to the light.
Do I gossip and/or plot evil? I have to realize that I cannot hide anything from God, he knows everything, from my thoughts to my actions; God knows all. I cannot gossip about anyone or hide the truth from them. I have to be transparent and speak the truth to everyone. There is a saying "The truth has a way to surface itself", and to think that I can hide the truth will only help me deceive myself. I have to be upfront with everyone and do what is right in God's eyes.

Heavenly Father thank you for your word. I ask you to help me never to gossip about anyone and do evil against others. Help me to speak the truth in love and to show your love to others. In Jesus name. Amen
