Acts 12:24 But the Word of God continued to increase and spread

King Herod and many Jews and leaders wanted to kill and rid society of the preachers of the new gospel. It was dangerous and brave of Peter to keep preaching. God miraculously rescued him from certain death and God used all of this to increase the spread of the Good News.

It isn't always a bed of roses to stand for Christ. But God can even use the opposition for His Good

Lord help me to have power and love for others and to share the gospel with others even though society does not seem receptive
