Learn From Your Mistakes

June 9 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

Scripture
S- People ruin their lives by their own foolishness
and then are angry at the Lord. Proverbs 9:30

Observation
O- Solomon is teaching how foolish people ruin their lives by making mistakes, especially making the same mistakes over and over again. And what makes matters worse is that they blame God for ruining their lives. Solomon knew that wise people never make the same mistakes over and over again. Wise people even learn from the mistakes of others. Solomon also knew that wise people never blame God for what happens to them, they take responsibility for what happens. Solomon is teaching us the importance of learning our lesson the first time and never repeating a mistake. If we want God to bless our lives, we have to obey His word and learn from our mistakes.

Application
A-Do I learn from my mistakes? Or do I make the same mistakes over and over again? I need to realize that if I want to be a wise person, I have to obey God's word and walk in His ways. If I don't, then I need to repent and I need to choose to never make the same mistake again. I cannot blame God for the consequences that I go through, but take responsibility for all my actions and learn from them. I must also listen and learn from the mistakes of others, so I can make life easier for myself. I want to be a wise person, so I will obey God and learn from my mistakes.

Prayer
P-Heavenly Father thank you fr your word. I ask you to help me to obey your word, and to learn from my mistakes. I want to be a wise person, so I choose to obey your word. In Jesus name. Amen
