" He has done all things well " (Mk 7:37)
Mark records alot of activity Jesus was involved in; including, "And when He had entered a house, He wanted no one to know of it, yet He could not escape notice."
In the context as well, we have the Syrophenecian's daughter delivered from a demonic spirit, and a deaf and mute man made well.
The people's response? "He has done all things well"
Is that my response as well? When setbacks are allowed to snuggle their way into my journey; when delays occur at the most inconvenient of times; when Iplead for that open door, and Jesus says, No; when sickness hampers my involvement in ministry; when my marriage needs servicing and my relationship with my kids is taxing - IS MY RESPONSE, HE HAS DONE ALL THINGS WELL?
How do Icultivate such an attitude?
* By seeing the preferred future, and chasing that perspective; * By continually handing over control to God, releasing my fix-it attitude to Him; * by remembering the footsteps of those gone before me and absorping the way God has dealt with them; * by submitting to the work of the Holy Spirit in my life in stretching my faith; * By acknowledging constantly in my mind that He who permits is the same One who loves me unconditionally and has only the very best for my life and journey in mind!
Father, often this is not my attitude! Please give me a heart after You and Your best for my life - You have done all things well . . .
