Your own choice and with God's grace

October 30 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

1 Corinthians 10:12-13
'If you think you are standing strong, be careful, for you too, may fall into the same sin. But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand against it. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.'
It is so easy to say and profess that we are Christians to the world. But we are also vulnerable to stumble and fall. That's why God with His faithfulness and love for us will not give us trials beyond our capacity. That's the advantage we have being His children. And we have to acknowledge and depend on His power to help us. The Holy Spirit would keep us from going astray. Being self-sustaining and independent will bring us down. It's a matter of awareness and humility.
Keep on reading God's word for directions. Our decisions in life will be a delight if we follow what God is telling us to do. We also need to have someone to be accountable with, a friend or a partner who would help us whenever we are in a situation that would lead us to fall.
Father, I thank You for what You have done for me. Thank You for being gracious to me. I don't deserve to be given such importance but because You love me You have restored me and given me hope to live my life to its fullest.
I pray that Your Holy Spirit will always guide me in all things, help me to surrender my will to Yours.
Thank You Father for how You have given me Jesus. Without Jesus, I cannot be a child of Yours. Thanks You Jesus for giving me the gift of life. May I bring joy to You as I walk in Your path. Protect me from harming myself or others, help me to stay in your loving presence. In Your name Lord Jesus I pray, amen.
