Mustard Seed Faith

November 25 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

Matthew 17:20 “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.[d]”
Jesus didn't have to think long before He diagnosed the problem. He got down from the mountain, and said, 'Oh you all have a faith problem'. Jesus was frustrated and because He knew it was a simple thing, one that He had been demonstrating and operating in His whole life...the walk of faith.
So - where in my life is Jesus frustrated? How long have I been steeping in good teaching, the Word and watching the example of godly people. Perhaps my problem is a simple one - a faith issue. Solved simply by easily shifting my perspective to God's perspective - looking through the eyes of faith.
God - it's a simple thing to do, yet so hard at times - have faith that is. Help me to see everything around me the way you do. The seed of faith has been sown in my heart, show me how I can water it, how I'm to care for the soil, how to let the sun get at it so it can put it's roots deep in my heart. I dont want anything to choke it out because I want to reap a harvest of faith in my life! Amen.
