In The Court Room of Heaven

November 7 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

ďIf I have walked with falsehood, And my foot has hastened after deceit, Let Him weigh me with accurate scales, And let God know my integrity.Ē Job 31:5,6

Job argues his innocence by pointing to the integrity of his character before God and man, but, God never questioned Jobís integrity, it was his integrity that started the ball rolling...

By chapter 31, who among us doesnít feel sorry for poor Job? His sufferings and loss tally more than any one man could possibly bare, so it seems. Ever wonder how we would handle ourselves in his demise? Lets just say for a moment that Job had knowledge of what took place between God and satan? And, instead of defending himself Job understood, that his life of integrity was a trophy in Godís raised hand, high for all to see. Do you think having this inside knowledge would have changed Jobís outlook about his situation? Would it change our attitude?

We must never underestimate the spiritual power behind a life lived in integrity. Such a life is regarded as precious in Godís sight and all of heaven is committed to the success of such a person. In the unseen realm there is a battle taking place, and I believe, the devil fears any man or women who walks in this level of integrity, because he knows it produces and radiates the fear of the Lord, a trophy heavens deems worthy.

Over the years the Lord has taught me about the spiritual realm of the unseen world around us. It wasnít a prayer, or a desire of mine to understand these things, it was more of a process that took place as my walk with God increased. The more I pressed into knowing and loving God and allowing His Spirit to change me, the more my eyes were open to the things of the Spirit. I began to realize that many of the weird trials I found myself in were indeed from God. And my part was always the same, to respond in the spirit and not in the flesh, for my witness was not only to man, but also to the unseen world around me.

A life of Integrity brings authority in prayer and worship, and with each new level we find ourselves growing in favor with God and man. Itís never easy, Iím always tempted to react in the flesh to what I see, and I suspect I will be tempted to do so until the Lord takes me home.

Father, thank you for the lessons Iíve learned about the unseen realm around us. Having this knowledge has helped me to take a stand in righteous when no one else is around to witness me except you and the enemy. Knowing he is watching fuels me to witness for you, for you alone are worthy you alone are God! Help me to pick myself up quickly when the attacks come from those I love and am committed to, heal my heart and restore my soul, for the sake of your name!

Lovingly, Gail
