Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then will I be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight,
O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:13-14)
David expression of the great power of God is amazing at the beginning of Psalm 19, but the end I see as a great prayer to keep in mind when I am struggling with my sinful nature.
If I can remember to keep my faith in God and understand that I myself am powerless to fight my own nature, I will be able to keep myself innocent of great transgression.
Lord, I am beginning to see why David was a man after your own heart. May this Psalm be a continued encouragement to me, and hopefully to others that may read it today. Amen
