" Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the Lord my God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation . . . Praise the Lord in song, for He has done excellent things . . . For great in your midst is the Holy One in Israel" (Is 12:2,5,6)
Songs of praise and victory, of acknowledgement and honour to the One who is great "in the midst" of His people!
The writer expresses thankfulness, confidence, trust, joy, relief and expectation at the reality of all that is to be bestowed on them.
At the moment, I am walking through experiences that have shaken not only my own life, but my family as well for the last 5 years. There have been times of anger, fear, disillusionment, questions and crys to God to end the difficulties.
What a timely reminder that conveniently went with Pastor Elwin's message on suffering. I am encouraged to: Thank God for the priviledge of going through stuff that cultivate growth; Trust God that all the reasons why these events happen will one day be recognised; Realise that when I have been tried, my faith will be displayed even better; Remember that He will never abandon ME, but has promised to be strong "in the midst" of it all.
In other words, I guess I am being strengthened to MAKE MONDAYS COUNT!!!
Thankyou Father, that nothing comes my way except it pass through Your permissive will. I praise You in victories, and in hurts - You have always done excellent things.
