Luke 4

January 4 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

Scripture
Luke 4
5The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7So if you worship me, it will all be yours."
Observation
As Jesus went into the desert the devil tryed to temp him, but to no avail for the holy spirit covered Jesus through His ordeal. The devil told Jesus, why don't you turn the stone into bread so that you may eat, Jesus sayed " men does not live on bread alone". He took Jesus to the top of the mountain to show Jesus what He had to offer, all this could be yours. Jesus sayed it is written worship the Lord your God and serve Him only. The devil tryed Again, taking Jesus to Jerusalem to the highest point of the temple and sayed jump and the lord will send His angels to comfort your fall, but Jesus sayed Do not put the Lord your God to the test.
Application
As i go about my day I'm tested every time and every time i must Look onto Him. for the power to endure and the strength to persevere lies with how much i know in the word of the lord and how much i apply . if my focus is on the temptation then tempted i will be and if i focus on the struggle then struggle is all i see. as our Father had done so shall we and if put in the predicament This World or HE, It has been written "worship your God and serve HIM Only!!!".
Prayer
Father Thank you for all that you've done, please give me the strength to carry on. i pray that i humble my self so that i may not be able to lose my spirit because of self-righteousness. i pray that all that i say is align and according to you, please put a hedge of protection over my family and my extended family because i know that what I'm going through so are they. in all this i pray Amen.
