Is. 61: 10
“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as the bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
When we recognize the anointing upon our lives we will glisten in Christ. I say recognize because that is what it takes to move in the anointing. In 61:1-4 When Jesus left the wilderness He began His ministry by quoting these verses. He knew, he was anointed to do the work of His Father by the power of the Holy Spirit. And we too must recognize that we have been given the same ministry and the same anointing.
I learned this lesson first hand when asked by a man to pray for his deliverance from a demon. This was the second time God allowed me to witness His power in this way. When I met this man he had sought deliverance from difference ministries all over the island and on the mainland. Finding no success he was discouraged. I could not only sense the demon in this guy, but I could see it. Somehow, he contacted me and convinced me to pray about praying over him. I went to the Lord several times not wanting to be presumptuous and finally the Lord spoke to me about him and said, “fast first” so I did for five days. Meanwhile, I got to know him by phone. The day came and I took Steve with me, but before I went I clearly heard the Lord say to me. “You are anointed, Go!”
It was amazing! At first, everything in my path tried to stop me from praying. He had a few friends there that were desperate to see it happen, but most everyone else was against it. I wasn’t phased by any of it…! I knew I was anointed! And I’ll never forget it. As soon as I started praying he started foaming but it didn’t take long before I saw his whole person change before my eyes and he started crying. Then the Lord whispered to me, “Its gone, now pray for his healing.” After that night he and his mother invited me to lunch and we talked, he was on his way to recovery. The demon was gone but the damage done would take some time to mend.
When we believe God’s words in our heart that we are anointed as Christ was when He walked the earth. Miracles do happen. Today, I don't take anything for granted. I still want to hear Him say, "You are anointed now Go!" so I will continue to wait on Him daily and pray always that when I leave my house to go anywhere that I know I have done my part and the rest is up to Him!
Thank you that this is indeed a wonderful time to be alive! Thank you for choosing me to carry your precious anointing. It is something that I must Stewart daily, being careful to walk in truth and being clothed in the robes of righteousness. I never want to get head of you though my tendency is to run full speed ahead. Thank you for harnessing me by your love! Its an amazing ride! I love you! Gail
