“Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his root will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him, The Spirit of counsel and strength, The Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord, And he will not judge by what his eyes see, Nor make a decision by what his ears hear; But with righteousness he will judge the poor….” Isaiah11:1-5
The Spirit of the Lord came upon David; And he will rest upon his descendants….
David’s job as king was to establish the kingdom; to set up shop in order for the presence of God to come. (the Ark)
To get the people in place and to establish the kingdom took great skill and discipline. He taught leadership. And with a courageous spirit he lead men by his example. Now that everything was in place God’s presence would not be delayed. David knew it was just what the people of God needed; because David recognized his own need. What did David do to acquire the skills he had to establish his authority and rule over the people of God? He was filled with the Holy Spirit…
Just the same way God used David to set up his kingdom on earth, God has used You to gather His people. Setting a standard of excellence and getting them ready to receive what they need, His Holy Presence in their lives.
“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of host. What are you O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it.’”
Just as you have lead the way in bringing the people of God together. You will lead the way in welcoming His presence! He will do the rest! The anointing is coming… It has already begun to set you in place. Receive!
As leaders, lets make our hearts ready for His presence!
