"Even Demons fear Hell"

November 1 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

Mark 5:6-10 TNIV
When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God's name don't torture me!" For Jesus had said to him, "Come out of this man, you evil spirit!"

Then Jesus asked him, "What is your name?"

"My name is Legion," he replied, "for we are many." And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

I read this and said to myself this is mysterious i see Jesus responding to the pleas of the demons. I wondered maybe it was better for them to torment people on earth than it would be to be in hell themselves. Later that day i was listening to the Luke on audio and that version said the demon asked no to be cast into the abyss.
If even the demons fear hell should we not fear hell more, and want to pray with more fervor and show people the love of Jesus so that they want what we have in the salvation and mercy of God.
My continued prayer is that God would help me through the Holy Spirit see each day in a view of eternity. In all i say, do, think and have in my heart.
