I Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It is not irritable, and keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice, but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Paul concisely reveals that love is not a romantic feeling, but the epitome of Godly virtues which we as Christians possess and demonstrate through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Today I have entered the covenant of marriage. I am honored and blessed to be loved in the way that Paul describes in I Corinthians 13:4-7. Alan, you are the embodiment of God's love in my life. Your character is a demonstration in love, forgiveness, mercy and grace. God & I adore you!
Dearest Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the gift of marriage. Thank you for creating my precious husband. Thank You for the purpose and plans you have for my husband. I ask that You continue to shape, mold, build, and refine my husband's heart to be more like Jesus. In Jesus' wonderful name I pray, Amen.
