Staying Under God's Covering

June 16 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

2 Chronicles 16: 12-13
Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. This disease was severe but Asa did not seek help from God only the Physicians.
Asa was King of Judah and when he trusted in the Lord he and his people was in peace for 35 years. Then Asa turned away from God and he was now open to the attacks of the enemy. God still loved Asa and wanted to save him so he sent a seer to him so he will turn from his evil ways. But Asa was angry by the truth and still did not turn to God. Then he was attacked by the enemy with this disease because he left from under God's covering.
We need to be careful of stepping out from under God's covering and protection. When we do this we open up our self to the attacks of the Devil. Because loves us so much he will send warning signs. Don't miss the warning signs when we are moving away from God. To stay under his covering we need to stay in his word daily, spend time with him daily, obey his voice and commands and live out the word.
Father we pray that we will not stray from you and if we do that we will see the signs and turn back to you.
Help us to always look to you for every area in our lives. Thank you for loving us so much even when we have turn our backs to you. Thank you for your Grace. Help us to be humble and know that we are nothing without you and you are the one that gives us life and strength to fight our battles for they are not flesh but spirits. Amen
