Pray For Help

January 31 // 1 Corinthians 8:20-21

When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David: “‘Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed one. Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” Acts 4:24-30

As the chiristians are praying and telling God about thier problems, they are asking God for help and strength to go through thier problems and asking God to remove thier problems. The christians knew that to have thier problems be removed from thier lives will only make them weaker and run from thier problems. The christians wanted to be stronger and better people, and the only things that will make them stronger and better is going through thier situations and choosing not to quit. So the chirstians are asking God for help and His strength to go through thier storms, and choosing to go through it. If we want to be stronger and better people, choose to face our problems and ask God for help.
What do I do when I have problems? Do I complain, run, and quit? My prayer lately is to be a stronger christian and a better husband. I have to relaize that the more I run from my problems, the worse I become. The weaker I will be when I ask God to remove the problem. I have to face my problems, then ask God for His strength to get me through my problems. I cannot face them on my own, but crying out to God for help. When God helps me, He will see me through all my problems, and make me into His image. I will choose to face my problems, ask God for help, and walk with Him through it.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word. I ask you to help me cry out to you when I have problems. Help me to face it and use your strength to go through it.
